About Reprotique | antique-inspired reproductions
Reprotique takes a crisp, clean, and current twist on classic design elements. Owner Susan Stanley Sprinkle draws on time-honored production techniques and designs of antiquity to create modern, unique pieces that are rooted in historically traditional elements of style. Many of the works in the Reprotique collection are held in private collection; they are all exclusive to Reprotique. The Reprotique line is produced in Richmond, Virginia. Each Reprotique creation is individually crafted with an artisan’s commitment to quality.
About Our Art
Reprotique is a line of museum quality Fine Art Reproductions individually selected from art in private collection. The original pieces range from 17th century Pen and Ink Drawings, Historical Maps, to early 20th c. Impressionist Paintings. The precise reproduction quality of each piece reflects every nuance of the original artwork, always considering the antiquity of the paper and the brush stroke on the canvas. All Reprotique pieces are produced on Archival Paper and Single Weave Linen Canvas using only Archival quality pigmented inks.
Reprotique was born out of Susan Stanley Sprinkle’s passion for antiques and art, coupled with her desire for new and modern pieces that reflect the beauty and craftsmanship of years past. After ten years running Stanley Antiques & Fine Art, a Richmond-based business with clientele spanning from Polo Ralph Lauren to private collectors across the nation, Susan launched Reprotique in January of 2013.
Susan is an expert in art history and conservation and has assumed roles as a researcher, evaluator, collector, and restorer of fine art. Through her work, she has placed historically significant works at the Virginia Museum of Fine Art and the Art Collection of the State of Virginia. Reprotique allows her to combine this targeted expertise with her keen eye for current trends and knack for finding the best quality craftsmen.
